A new hard-hitting campaign is being launched to encourage more residents across the Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands to participate in the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program.
It comes as latest data reveals fewer than half of eligible Australians (41.7%) are completing the free at-home test.
Bowel cancer remains Australia’s second deadliest cancer, but if detected early, more than 90% of cases can be treated successfully.

Cancer Council Australia CEO, Jacinta Reddan, says the test is quick and easy, especially for people living in regional and rural areas.
