Australia’s peak workplace safety body is urging tradies across the Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands to put their health and wellbeing first this Tradies National Health Month (1–30 August).

The Australian Institute of Health and Safety is backing the initiative led by the Australian Physiotherapy Association, encouraging those working in trades and construction to take proactive steps to protect both their physical and mental health, on and off the tools.

Construction remains one of the highest-risk industries in the country, with Safe Work Australia revealing an average of 29 construction workers lose their lives each year due to workplace incidents.
