Hundreds have braved the cold and wet to take part in the Shoalhaven Sorry Day Walk to mark National Sorry Day.

Supporters gathered at Nowra’s Harry Sawkins Park before walking across the Nowra Bridge to The Bomaderry Children’s Home, which is recognised as one of the spiritual places of the Stolen Generation.

“It’s a shame it’s raining but it didn’t stop the crowd, they’re all here coming together as one on a very special day.”

He said, ” We’ve got a lot of school kids here and it’s good to have the kids involved because that’s what it’s all about.

Mr Clark said, “This National Sorry Day leads into Reconciliation Week and that’s when we all start coming together again and moving forward.”
