Queensland’s Mackay Regional Council has won the Ixom Water of Origin best tasting tap water title for 2023.
The winner was announced on Thursday on the Sunshine Coast.
Mackay Regional Council with its sample from the Nebo Road Plant was competing for the coveted title against NSW’s Shoalhaven City Council with its sample from the Bamarang Plant.

It’s the second consecutive year the title has gone north of the border.
