The NSW Drowning Toll has climbed to 43 since July last year, following Sunday’s drowning tragedy at Bombo Headland near Kiama, but that number could have been more.
A 41-year old man, on holidays from Bangladesh, was reportedly photographing with two friends when all three were washed off rocks by the heavy swell.
While the victim was carried fifty metres off-shore and didn’t survive, his friends managed to cling to rocks and were pulled to safety.
