Milton Ulladulla Bypass Corridor Connections

September 22, 2025 9:46 am in by

The Albanese and Minns Labor Governments are getting on with planning for the Milton Ulladulla Bypass, confirming key connection points between the Princes Highway and the new $940 million route.

The announcement brings the bypass one step closer to easing traffic congestion and improving travel for South Coast communities.

The northern, central, and southern bypass links have been finalised after environmental studies and community feedback.

These design refinements focus on protecting local flora and fauna, minimising impacts on properties, and addressing environmental and construction challenges, all while improving road safety and access for residents.

Key design features include:

• A new roundabout connecting the bypass to the Princes Highway in the north, located just south of Little Forest Road. This location was chosen to avoid sensitive rock formations and reduce environmental impact.

• A grade-separated interchange at Bishop Drive in Ulladulla to provide a central connection, improving access to local shops, schools, and nearby villages.

• A roundabout connecting the bypass to the Princes Highway in the south, near Canberra Crescent at Burrill Lake.

With the connection points confirmed, work will continue to develop the detailed design, including lane configurations, bridge structures, and wildlife crossings to protect local biodiversity.

The environmental assessment forms part of the Environmental Impact Statement, that will be published in 2026, providing the community an opportunity to provide further feedback prior to the finalisation of the design.

Transport for NSW will hold drop-in sessions soon where residents can ask questions and learn more about the project:

• Ulladulla Civic Centre – Tuesday 30 September, 3pm to 7pm

• Ulladulla Shopping Centre – Friday 17 October, 10am to 2pm
