Knuckle Dusters used during alleged assault

Two people have been arrested and charged after a man was allegedly attacked with knuckle dusters in Nowra on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to a home at East Nowra at about 12.10am, following reports of an assault.

Officers attached to South Coast Police District were told a man had been assaulted on Kalandar Street, Nowra.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 25-year-old at the scene for facial injuries.

About 4:45pm the same day, police attended a home on Maclean Street, Nowra and arrested a man, aged 29, and a woman, aged 27.

The were both taken to Nowra Police Station.

The man was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon, possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit and possess prohibited drug.

The woman was charged with robbery in company.

Both have been refused bail to appear before Nowra Local Court today (Monday 22 April ).
