DV awareness cup descends onto Bomaderry

The South Coast Police District with the NRL and Group 7 are hosting its DV Awareness Cup on Thursday the 19th of June, bringing awareness to – and taking a stand against – domestic and family violence.

The Rugby League and League Tag gala day will see six schools compete for the South Coast DV Awareness Cup – Nowra, Vincentia, Shoalhaven, Bomaderry and Ulladulla High Schools, with St John Evangelist Catholic High School added to the list for the first time.

Shoalhaven-based government and community organisations are in attendance, providing information to students and their families on services and support available to break the cycle of domestic and family violence.

The event is backed by the NRL, with footy great and Australian Rugby League representative, now NRL Ambassador, Garry Jack, along with St George Illawarra NRL Ben Murdoch-Masila, Villiami Fifita, Jett Liu and Finau Latu and NRLW players Keele Browne & Hannah Southwell will be in attendance.

It gets underway at Bomaderry Sporting Fields from 8:30am to 2:30pm
