South Coast voters have called for change, voting in only the 2nd Labor State MP in almost 100 years.

Labor’s Liza Butler won in a landslide, claiming the former safe Liberal seat which was held by the retiring former Liberal Local Government Minister Shelley Hancock MP for around 20 years.

Ms BUTLER said she’ll hit the ground running and does not intend to step down from her role as a Councillor on Shoalhaven City Council.

She said her immediate priorities focused on listening to members of the community, and working with them on the Ulladulla High School, the Milton Hospital, and addressing housing problems in East Nowra.
