Whether through volunteering, education, environmental care, arts and culture, sport or
humanitarian work, Wingecarribee Shire Council is calling on residents to recognise those who make a real difference.

Nominations are now open for the 2026 Citizen of the Year and Young Citizen of the
Year awards, celebrating individuals whose outstanding contributions have strengthened
and inspired our community.
Award Categories
- Citizen of the Year: Over 25 years
- Young Citizen of the Year: 25 years and under (Nominees should be no more
than 25 years of age on 26 January 2026.)
Mayor Jesse Fitzpatrick is encouraging the community to recognise and celebrate those
outstanding individuals who are positively shaping the Wingecarribee Shire.
“Behind every strong community are residents who give their time and effort selflessly. Show your appreciation by nominating someone who makes our community a better
place,” Mayor Fitzpatrick said.
Nominating someone is easy. Simply submit your nomination form and provide details
about their achievements. Your words can help to highlight their extraordinary
contributions and inspire others.
