About 9.30am,Tuesday 22 September 2026, emergency services were called to the Home-Co shopping centre on Moona Creek Road, Vincentia, following reports of suspicious activity.
Officers from South Coast Police District attended and were told an unknown man had left a suspicious object on the counter of a business.
Police established a crime scene and an exclusion zone around the store.

Officers attached to the Police Rescue and Bomb Disposal Unit attended and deemed the object to be safe.
The object was seized by police and will undergo a forensic examination.
An investigation into the incident has commenced.
