The ballot draw was held on Thursday morning for next month’s Kiama Municipal Council by-election.
The order of the two candidates is:
Stanley Jarrett
Michael Bowden.
Early voting opens on Saturday, 15 August at Kiama Uniting Church – 48 Manning Street.
The early voting venue will be closed the following day, then open 8.30am-5.30pm Monday to Wednesday, 8.30am-8pm on Thursday and 8.30-6pm on Friday, the day before election day.
Votes on Saturday, 22 August can be cast from 8am-6pm at seven locations:
- Minnamurra Public School
- North Kiama Neighbourhood Centre
- Jamberoo Public School
- Kiama Uniting Church
- Gerringong Uniting Church
- Gerringong Town Hall
- Gerroa Neighbourhood Centre
If you are enrolled as a resident in the Kiama local government area as at 6pm, Monday 13 July 2026 you must vote. The penalty for not voting in NSW is a $55 fine.
