Captain Maddinson returns for NSW Blues

Nowra’s Nic Maddinson will lead the NSW Blues for the first time in 11 years during this week’s Sheffield Shield match against Tasmania in Hobart.

Having returned from Test duties in South Africa, Maddinson will take over the Blues captaincy from Lachlan Shaw, who fulfilled the role during last week’s match against Western Australia in Perth. 

Maddinson previously led NSW on six occasions during the 2015/16 season.
