A driver has died and a passenger has been injured after a crash in the state’s south.
About 2.40pm, Thursday 29 January 2026, emergency services were called to the Hume Highway, at Marulan, after reports a car had left the roadway and rolled.
Officers from The Hume Police District attended along with NSW ambulance paramedics and Fire and Rescue NSW.
The driver, a man believed to be aged in his 80s, died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.
The passenger, a woman believed to aged in her 80s, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to hospital.
A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash commenced.
Southbound lanes of the Hume Highway were impacted.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
