A man has been charged with historical sexual assault offences in the state’s south.
Officers attached to South Coast Police District commenced inquiries into a report of child sex offences allegedly committed between between 2000 and 2003 at Callala Bay. Police were told the offences involved a girl who was aged 13 at the time.
Detectives attached to South Coast Police District commenced an investigation.
In May 2025, another report was made to South Coast Police District about alleged sexual assault offences against a 12-year-old girl, with detectives continuing their investigation.
Following further inquiries, about 8.10am yesterday (Wednesday 19 November 2025), detectives executed a search warrant at a home in the Shoalhaven.
A short time later, a 55-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Nowra Police Station.
He was charged with 10 offences, seven counts of sexual intercourse with person 10 or over and under 16 years, and three counts of commit act of indecency with person under 16 years.
He was refused bail to appear in Bail Division Court 3 today (Thursday 20 November 2025).
