The Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens has announced updates to its
2026 Southern Highlands Autumn Gardens Weekend and Plant Fair, including an
expanded program, an additional open garden, and a confirmed celebrity guest.
The event will now feature six exclusive private gardens, increasing from the
originally announced five. Visitors can explore two substantial properties in
Robertson, alongside a curated mix in Bowral of two expansive estates and two
smaller, intimate gardens.

A major highlight is the appearance of Clarence Slockee, renowned landscape
designer and ABC TV Gardening Australia presenter, who will be a special guest on
Saturday 18 April at the Plant Fair.
New for 2026 is a Program of Plant Talks, also on the Saturday, featuring six expert
speakers. Highlights include Clarence Slockee on Australian native plants and
Graeme Davis, President of the Dahlia Society of Australia, alongside other respected
horticultural presenters and their specialty topics.
The Fair continues to grow, now featuring over 40 stalls, including specialist plant
nurseries, garden products, and unique garden décor and supplies. Featured
exhibitors include The Garden Cupboard, showcasing their walk-through Shepherd’s
Hut, and Digadoo, with their lightweight stainless steel garden tools.
The Highlands Harvest stalls will highlight local artisan producers including SoHi Gin,
Dawning Day Wines, and Mrs Old Bucks, alongside a variety of food and beverage
offerings.
On Sunday 19 April, Jazz in the Gardens will feature live music from popular jazz band
Short & Horny.
