South Coast Police are appealing for local community assistance after a young girl was approached by unknown men in Nowra earlier this week.
On Tuesday (10 February 2026), officers attached to South Coast Police District received a report of a child approach in Nowra Hill.
Police were told a 9-year-old girl had exited a bus on the corner of Btu and Nowra Hill Road, Nowra Hill, about 3pm the same day, when she was approached by two unknown men.
The men attempted to convince the young girl to enter a nearby vehicle before she ran from the scene, hiding in nearby bushes until the men left.
Following the report police immediately commenced an investigation into the incident.
As investigations continue, police are hoping to speak to two men who were seen in the area at the time of the incident.
The men are described as being of Asian appearance and aged in their earlier 20s.
Police are also hoping to speak to the driver of a car described as a silver sedan/small SUV that was seen in the area at the time of the incident.
