The final artists bringing colour, creativity and connection to the new $440 million Shoalhaven Hospital Redevelopment have been selected!
Australian artists Glenn Barkley, Antonia Pesenti, Claire Foxton and Nastia Gladushchenko will create major artworks across the new 7 storey Acute Services Building — joining previously announced artists Kirli Saunders OAM and Lara Merrett.
What we can expect:
Skiesful/Treesful – a Shoalhaven sourced sandstone garden sculpture by Glenn Barkley, designed as a peaceful outdoor space for rest and connection.
Vibrant paediatric artworks by Antonia Pesenti that transform treatment rooms into imaginative, locally inspired spaces.
A 23 metre mural by Claire Foxton and Nastia Gladushchenko at the Shoalhaven Street entrance, creating a striking welcome for staff, patients and visitors.
Additional artworks celebrating Country, community and wellbeing across public spaces and the new Mental Health Unit.
This milestone completes the full artist team for the project’s Arts in Health program, recognising the powerful role creativity plays in healing and wellbeing.
Construction of the new Acute Services Building is on track for completion later this year.
