A Burrill Lake man’s recent scroll through Facebook led him to discover he’d gone an entire month driving around with a $100,000 winning Lucky Lotteries ticket hiding in his car glove box.
The South Coast player held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 11046, drawn Tuesday 4 November 2025, and can look forward to a neat $100,000 payday.
If the winner had been part of The Lott Members Club and registered his ticket to a player card or online account, he would have already been alerted to his newfound treasure. Instead, officials from The Lott had to wait for him to check his ticket and come forward.
When an official from The Lott called to confirm the thrilling news, the winning man confessed it felt like he was stuck in a dream.
“Wow! It’s real! It’s real!” he cheered.
“The winning ticket has been in my car this entire time. Once I bought it, I shoved it in my glove box and didn’t look at it again.
“It wasn’t until I saw a post on Facebook from Burrill Lake Newsagency, that I thought to myself, ‘Hang on, I better check my tickets! It could be me!’.
“Thank you for confirming the good news! I’m shaking right now.
“I’m just thinking to myself, ‘Am I going to wake up soon? Am I dreaming this?’. I’m just rubbing my eyes waiting for this to be over.
“It’s unreal! I’ve always said I wanted to put a plaque on the newsagency’s wall. Woo-hoo!”
The stunned winner shared the prize would land in his bank account at the perfect time in the lead up to Christmas.
“It’s come at just the right time,” he said.
“We’ll go out for a nice dinner and take some time to dream up we’ll do with the prize.”
The 1st Prize winning entry was purchased at Burrill Lake Newsagency and Post Office, 117 Princes Highway, Burrill Lake.
Burrill Lake Newsagency and Post Office owner Jamie Stone shared he was thrilled to hear the mystery winner had finally come forward.
