Wingecarribee Council will have plenty of belt tightening to do over the next financial year.
Administrator Viv May has revealed, there’s now a shortfall of just under $5.5 million dollars for the Mittagong Payhouse restoration project, which council can’t afford to pay.
The cost of the public inquiry has also come in at $560,000.

Mr. May didn’t add anything further during his administrator minute at this week’s meeting.
“It’s quite public and deals with several important matters,
“I would move that the minute be received and noted and declare that carried,”Mr. May said.
