Two arrested over Moss Vale glassing

Two men will face court over following an alleged assault in the Southern Highlands last Friday.

About 9.30pm on Friday 9 May 2025, officers from The Hume Police District attended a licensed premise on Argyle Street, Moss Vale, following reports of a glassing.

Police were told a male allegedly poured the contents of a drink over a 22-year-old man, before throwing the glass at him and striking him in the head.

The glass struck the man on the shoulder before smashing into a gaming machine.

A second man allegedly then threw the contents of his drink over the 22-year-old man.

Other patrons intervened preventing further violence.

Following inquiries, on Saturday 10 May 2025, police arrested a 22-year-old man from Renwick.

He was charged with one count of assault and granted conditional bail to appear at Moss Vale Local Court on Tuesday 27 May 2025.

On Monday 12 May 2025, police arrested a 21-year-old man from Moss Vale. The Moss Vale man was charged with assault and affray.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Moss Vale Local Court on Tuesday 3 June 2025.

Both men were given notices banning them from the licensed premises for an extended period.
