A teenager has died following a plane crash in Sydney’s south west.
About 3.15pm today (Wednesday 24 January 2024), emergency services were called to Brownlow Hill Loop Road, Brownlow Hill, following reports a light plane had crashed.
Officers from Camden Police Area Command attended, along with NSW Ambulance, and Fire and Rescue NSW.
The pilot and sole occupant of the plane, believed to be a 16-year-old boy, died at the scene.
He is yet to be formally identified, but is reportedly a student of Chev College in Bowral.
Police established a crime scene which was forensically examined.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has been notified and commenced an investigation into the circumstance surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
