Local Native Wildlife Rescue advocate Kerstin Schweth has been announced as the recipient of the Southern Highlands Community Foundation Heroes award.
Ms Schweth’s has been treating injured and orphaned wildlife across the Coast and the Highlands for the past sixteen years.
She said she was utterly joyous when finding out the news of her award.

“It’s overwhelming, I’ve never received an award,
“It was so lovely for people to have nominate me,”Ms. Schwth said
She’s also been awarded $5000 dollars to go towards her organisation.
