Wingecarribee Shire Council is inviting community feedback to guide future stormwater
and drainage improvements as part of its Stormwater Asset Management Plan.
Managing stormwater and drainage is vital to ensuring a safe and resilient community –
and Council wants to ensure these services meet the needs of residents.
By participating in the Drainage Asset Community Satisfaction Survey, community members can share their views on current drainage services, including, clearing of table drains, flooding of properties and streets, formalising drainage networks from swales to kerb and gutter, consideration of flooding in Development Assessment, condition of existing stormwater pits and pipes, water quality of creeks and waterways and vegetation and cleanliness of creeks and waterways.
Although the community has consistently rated good drainage as a top priority since 2019, satisfaction levels have remained low.
This survey is an opportunity to help Council better understand why and shape meaningful improvements.
This engagement builds on the Stormwater/Drainage Asset Management Plan adopted last financial year.
Feedback will help Council understand community expectations and areas
of dissatisfaction, prioritise targeted solutions and future works, and deliver better
outcomes for stormwater management
