Asbestos cleanup after Moss Vale collision

Emergency services responded to Argyle Street Moss Vale, following reports of a two-vehicle-crash, involving a tow truck and ute.

Officers attached to Hume Police District responded, to find the tow truck was driver trapped.

The tow truck driver was released and treated by NSW Ambulance Service for leg injuries. He was conveyed by road to Liverpool Hospital.

The male driver of the ute was treated for minor injuries.

Fire and Rescue NSW was in attendance to clean up debris on the road and local traffic diversion were put in place.


An exclusion zone was established when a small quantity of asbestos was discovered had fallen off the ute.

NSW Fire and Rescue Hazmat crews were notified and attended the scene. The EPA has been notified.
