Residents on the South Coast are being asked to get behind a life-changing charity providing assistance dogs to people with additional needs.

Assistance Dogs Australia is holding its first-ever Giving Day with a goal of raising $250,000 with the help of doubled donations between 8am and 8pm.
Funds raised will go towards a breeding and training program that provides assistance dogs to people living with physical difficulties, complex autism, and severe post-traumatic stress.

Kim Sutton from Assistance Dogs Australia says the charity receives no government funding so they’re relying on LOCALS to show their support.
