CWA of NSW Awareness Week
The Country Women’s Association (CWA) of NSW’s Southern Highlands Evening branch is launching its annual Awareness Week campaign, to be held from 3 – 9 September 2023.
This year, the Southern Highlands Evening branch (SHE), along with hundreds of other CWA branches across NSW, is focusing on increasing awareness around neurodiversity and neurodivergent conditions (which includes ADHD, autism, dyslexia and Tourette syndrome), and the challenges those with neurodivergent conditions face, particularly women and children in rural and regional areas of NSW.
There is a particular focus on the growing number of women who are being diagnosed with ADHD.
The Southern Highlands Evening branch of CWA has chosen to highlight this year’s Awareness Week message by manning a static display at the Mittagong Marketplace with handouts and flyers about neurodiversity and about CWA.
We will also have a raffle and be selling some CWA cookbooks. The stall will be manned from Tues 5 – Thurs 7 September, outside the newsagent inside the main entrance.
