Community Greening Project

Discover the Joy of Gardening — and Community!

Looking for a great reason to get outdoors, meet new people, and learn something new? Our free Community Garden Workshop at Jim da Silva Farm is the perfect opportunity to do just that.

Join us on Tuesday, 19th August 2025, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Farm in Mundamia, for a relaxed and friendly day in the garden. Hosted in partnership with the Botanic Gardens Community Greening Project, this hands-on workshop is open to everyone aged 18 and over — no experience needed!

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or simply curious about growing your own food and flowers, this is a chance to dig in, share ideas, and be inspired. You’ll get to explore practical gardening techniques, swap tips with others, and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of working with nature. Or, if you’d prefer to just come along for a chat and a cuppa, that’s great too — there’s something for everyone. We will also be cooking on the day using fresh produce from the garden with The Disability Trust

Free morning tea and light refreshments will be provided, and we have plenty of on-site parking available.

At Jim da Silva Farm, we’re more than just a garden — we’re a community. We’re always looking for new people to join us, share their ideas, and grow alongside us. So come along, make new friends, learn something new, and help us build a greener, more connected future.

We’d love to see you there!
