CALLALA ARTISTS – Art/Craft Exhibition & Sale
The artistic vibe in the Callala community is vibrant and alive as evidenced by the work being submitted for the Art Exhibition and Sale being held in the beautiful Callala Community Centre on Emmett Street, Callala Bay.
Artists and artisans will be busy setting up on Wednesday 20 December after 12noon and will exhibit their work on 21, 22 and 23 December from 10am until 3pm.
Among the exhibitors will be local textile/fibre artist Jennifer Corkish. Jennifer belongs to a textile/fibre group “Untethered” of 20 women who exhibit in regional galleries. She will be selling her art pieces, both framed and unframed. Shibori dyed scarves, hand embroidered textiles, handmade textile gift cards and much more.
Another artist taking part is Sandra McKenzie-Clark who works in oils. Sandra lives locally and has had the opportunity to impart her knowledge to many artists over a 14-year period. Many of her works will be on offer at tremendously low prices simply because of lack storage, so some very lucky buyers will be able to grab a fantastic bargain.
Other artists will include amazing work working items such as bowls, snowmen, serving dishes, charcuterie boards and covered jars.
Also on offer will be pieces of costume jewellery, hand worked embroidery, framed canvases in oils, watercolour, acrylic and pastel as well as pen and ink.
Come along and gather those last-minute Christmas gifts for those hard to buy for people or just spoil yourself.
