Four powerful art exhibitions will open at Shoalhaven Regional Gallery in Nowra tomorrow, sharing Aboriginal stories of identity, healing and connection to Country.
Residents are invited to attend the official opening on 25 July from 2pm to 4pm.
The event will feature a Smoking Ceremony, Welcome to Country and talks by First Nations artists and elders.
Mayor Patricia White said residents and visitors to the gallery have the opportunity to see some extraordinary artworks which will be on display until 3 October.
“Each of the artists has a compelling story to tell. The exhibitions showcase their strength, resilience and creativity,” Cr White said.
“I encourage everyone to attend the opening and experience these works that honour culture, history and community across the Shoalhaven and beyond,” she said.
