For the second time in less than two years, a Kiama resident or visitor has scored $4.8 million in a Set for Life draw but has yet to come forward to claim their prize.

The latest elusive ticketholder held the only division one winning entry nationally in Set for Life draw 3982, drawn Wednesday 1 July 2026. They can look forward to a total division one prize of $4.8 million, paid in monthly instalments of $20,000 a month for the next 20 years.

The winning entry was purchased at Nextra Kiama, Shop T3, Kiama Village, 143 Terralong Street, Kiama.

Remarkably, lottery officials are still waiting for the ticketholder of a $4.8 million prize in Set for Life draw 3404 on Saturday 30 November 2024, also purchased at Nextra Kiama, to come forward and claim their windfall.

If either winner had been part of The Lott Members Club and registered their ticket to a player card or online account, they would have already been alerted to their good fortune. Instead, officials from The Lott are eagerly waiting for the ticketholders to check their tickets and come forward.

The Lott spokesperson Khat McIntyre said she hoped Kiama’s mystery winners checked their tickets and came forward soon.

“What are the chances? Not once, but twice, Nextra Kiama has sold a $4.8 million Set for Life division one winning entry, and we’re still waiting for both winners to come forward,” she said.

“Right now, there are two people who could be walking around Kiama or the South Coast completely unaware they have a life-changing fortune waiting for them.

“Together, these two prizes are worth almost $10 million, making this one of the most remarkable unclaimed winner stories we’ve seen in recent years.
