Construction of the Minns Labor Government’s 60-home build-to-rent development in Bomaderry has reached the topping out, marking a significant step forward in delivering more homes for the South Coast.
Once complete, the project will provide secure, long-term rental housing for key workers including nurses, teachers, childcare educators, retail staff and other essential workers.
Delivered by Landcom, the development is part of the Minns Labor Government’s $65 million investment in build-to-rent housing on the South Coast and Northern Rivers.

The 60-apartment project includes 12 affordable homes for low to moderate income households, with the remainder offered as secure market rentals.
Major works are progressing well, with structural concreting complete, buildings nearing structural completion and roofing now underway. Façade and cladding works are next as the project moves closer to welcoming its first residents in early 2027.
Located close to Bomaderry railway station, the development will provide residents with easy access to transport, jobs, shops and essential services.
The milestone comes as the Minns Labor Government continues to accelerate housing delivery across the South Coast.
Last week, the Government finalised major rezonings in Nowra and Kiama that will unlock around 1,300 new homes, including social and affordable housing, transforming underutilised land into vibrant new neighbourhoods close to jobs, transport and town centres.
The Bomaderry build-to-rent project complements these broader efforts, alongside the delivery of 50 build-to-rent homes in Lismore and plans for a further 220 build-to-rent homes for essential workers in Annandale.
The Minns Labor Government is also investing across the South Coast through the $440 million redevelopment of Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital, new and upgraded schools including the new Bomaderry Public Preschool, and major road upgrades, helping ensure housing growth is supported by the infrastructure communities need.
