Werninck Craft Cottage
Werninck Craft Cottage in Plunkett Street Nowra is having a Xmas in July Craft Sale. Members have created their favourite Christmas crafts for customers needing a gift or decoration for a July event. A special area within the cottage will be prepared from 27th June until 25th July.
Werninck Craft Cottage, officially opened by Mayor Harry Sawkins on 12th October 1985, celebrated its 40th birthday last year. More than 30 members currently volunteer their time to ensure the cottage is open for both visitors and locals to peruse. Sales support four selected local charities each year.
Get your Xmas goodies early. You will find something from Xmas gift to decorations, fresh lemon butter or even something to send overseas before the postage rush. July is also the perfect time to find a beautifully made rug or scarf for a friend or even yourself. And don’t forget the tiny tots in your life: we have a room full of colourful baby clothes and toys for the little ones.
This year we are supporting: The Bearded Fishermen Blokes Group, CanAssist Shoalhaven Assistance Network, Women’s Domestic Violence Advocacy Services and Shoalhaven Community Palliative Care.
We can be found at the edge of Marriott Park in Plunkett Street, so pop on in and have a look.
