The proponants of the Moss Vale Plastic Recycling Facility have launched legal action in the Land and Environment Court after it was turned down by the Independent Planning Commission.
The proposed facility could process up to 120,000 tonnes of plastic waste per annum and manufacture plastic fibres and resins.
It was rejected because of noise and vibration – traffic and transport issues and visual impacts.

Both the Wingecarribee Community and Council claimed victory after the planning panel rejected the Plasrefine proposal in January.
