Power FM Care Boxes For The Bush

Power FM has partnered with Ladies Of The Land to give mums of NSW who have been battling the droughts and the recent fires a pick-me-up ahead of Christmas.

Aussie mums always put their kids, husbands and family first but here's a chance for us to work together and surprise them with a nice gift.

Getting involved is simple. Put together a shoebox (or two) filled with goodies that a lady on the land would appreciate and drop it off at Power FM for us to deliver to the state's rural regions. It's really important to also include a heartfelt message in the shoebox for the recipient to enjoy.

Some ideas on what to put in your care boxes:

  • Luxury items such as tea & wine
  • Candles
  • Books & magazines
  • Chocolates
  • Face, body & nail products
  • Tea cups & mugs
  • Small jewelry items

We encourage you to wrap your boxes in newspaper because it’s better for the environment, it will let the recipient know where your parcel comes from and you can invest that little bit more in the contents of the box.

 Drop Off Point

Power FM, Nowra Offices 119 McMahon's Road or Corner Banyette & Bong Bong Streets Bowral

Other pop-up locations to be confirmed. To stay updated keep listening to Power FM.

Thank you for helping us to make Christmas a little better for drought & fire affected communities in NSW.

Note: Ladies Of The Land are using the NSW Department of Primary Industries Combined Drought Indicator Map to help guide where to distribute pamper boxes and Royal Flying Doctors will also be assisting in reaching those in far out regions.
