Shoalhaven City Council staff also pocket pay increase

Shoalhaven City Council staff members are also among those to have received a pay increase as the Local Government Remuneration Tribunal approves a pay rise for our Mayor and Councillors.

Councils staffing costs increased from five to six per cent this financial year, due to the public sectors 2.5 per cent default pay increase.

Meantime, the South Coast Register reports Councils General Manager Russ Pigg could be due for a bonus on top of his annual pay packet of about $324,000.

If he meets key performance indicators, he may receive a bonus of up to $16,200.

While on average Council's four directors are pocketing about $244,000 annually.
