Strong winds much like what we experience in August have taken Coast and Highlands residents by surprise over the weekend, but fortunately, no major damage has occurred.
Wind gusts of up to 85 kilometres an hour brought down trees and blew away loose outdoor items.
Mark Kielly from the Nowra SES says there were around 20 call outs in the Northern part of the Shoalhaven while the Milton Ulladulla area had about 5.
"A large tree fell over at Culburra damaging 2 vehicles and a carport, another large tree fell over in the centre of Bomaderry and a couple of trees in Berry", Mr Kielly said.
Meantime in the Southern Highlands, trees and power lines were brought down in Loseby Park but no major damage occurred.
