Veteran councillor Neil Reilly has been elected Mayor of Kiama.

Reilly beat Kathy Rice in a secret ballot for the top job.

22-year-old Imogen Draisma was voted his deputy by the newly elected councillors who were all sworn yesterday afternoon.

The pair will hold the roles until September 2023.

Council CEO Jane Stroud formally welcomed Kiama's new and returning Councillors and congratulated the new Mayor and Deputy Mayor on their election.
