The Shoalhaven has celebrated a week without a new COVID-19 case.
The Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District again had only one new case in the 24 hours to 8pm Wednesday night.
The diagnosis in Wollongong takes the district's number of cases since June to 2490.
The number of COVID patients being treated in the district's hospitals fell to seven.
Across the state the number of new COVID cases rose for the third day in a row to 262 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.
There were also three COVID-related deaths in the 24 hours - two men and a woman.
They were an unvaccinated man in his 50s from Sydney’s south-west, an unvaccinated man in his 60s from Sydney’s inner west and a woman in her 90s from Sydney’s south-east who had received two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
There are currently 199 COVID-19 cases admitted to the state's hospitals, with 29 people in intensive care, 14 of whom require ventilation.
