Two new COVID cases in the Nowra-Bomaderry area are linked to known cases.
The two cases in the 2541 area are among four for the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District in the 24 hours to 8pm on Wednesday.
There was also one case in each of the Wolllongong and Shellharbour areas.
In the meantime the number of COVID patients being treated in the district's hospitals fell to nine by 8pm on Wednesday.
While the number of new infections remains low, health officials continue urging people to get tested if any symptoms appear, no matter how mild.
People with mild symptoms, such as fatigue, new muscle aches or pains, a change in taste or smell or a runny nose should also arrange testing as quickly as possible.
Across the state there were 261 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours, along with three new cases acquired overseas.
The reporting period also included the COVID-related death of a woman in her 60s from south-western Sydney, who not vaccinated and had underlying health conditions.
