Ten new cases in the Shoalhaven

There have been 10 additional people from the Shoalhaven diagnosed with COVID-19.

The Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District has revealed four of the new infections are linked to known cases, while the other six are under investigation.

Five live in the 2541 postcode area, and the other five are from the area covered by the 2540 postcode.

They are among 62 new cases detected within the health district in the 24 hours to 8pm Monday night.

Of those, 37 were in the Wollongong Local Government Area including nine linked to known cases, and 15 were from Shellharbour including 12 linked to known cases.

Across the state there were 863 cases over the 24 hours, and seven deaths linked to COVID-19.
