ROAD CLOSURES

  • Jacobs Drive, Sussex Inlet (at Wunda Ave intersection).
  • Jamberoo Mountain Road is closed because of a landslip. Uncertain when it will reopen.
  • Bugong Road closed from Duffys Lane, Budgong to Emerys Road, North Nowra.
  • River Rd Sussex Inlet (at Harbord St intersection).
  • Berry Street Bridge to Albatross Road, Nowra. Closed due to flooding.
  • Hillcrest Avenue, South Nowra. Closed due to flooding.
  • Edwards Avenue, Bomaderry. Road closed due to flooding.
  • Quinns Lane, South Nowra. Closed due to flooding.
  • Hockeys Lane, Cambewarra. Closed due to flooding.
  • Back Forest Road, Back Forest. Closed due to flooding.
  • Albert Street, Berry (flooding between Queen Street and Prince Alfred Street)
  • North Street, Berry. Closed due to flooding.

Flood warning for Sussex Inlet as moderate flooding is expected this afternoon Tuesday 28 July 2020. Sussex Inlet is expected to peak near 1.20 metres around 02:00 pm Tuesday with moderate flooding. Minor flooding is current along the St Georges Basin. The St George Basin at Island Point Road is expected to peak near 1.35 metres around midday Tuesday with minor flooding.

POWER OUTAGES

Endeavour Energy has advised that crews are working to safely restore the remaining 2,800 Shoalhaven homes and businesses that remain without power. Crews have been brought in from the Illawarra and Western Sydney to assist.

Areas without power include Bawley Point, Ulladulla, Berrara, Sanctuary Point, Old Erowal Bay, Kioloa, Milton, Woollamia, Cudmirrah, St Georges Basin, Bendalong, Swanhaven, Termeil, Manyana, Hyams Beach, Mollymook, Sussex Inlet and Falls Creek. They are hoping to restore power to all customers by late tonight,  subject to crews having safe access to flooded areas.
