A motorcyclist has been rescued after falling over the steep embankment on the hairpin turn at the top of Macquarie Pass around lunchtime yesterday.
The female rider fell around 25 metres from the road.
SES Kiama said she was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene before being loaded onto a stretcher.
Roping systems were setup and the stretcher was carried to the top of a grassy embankment before a ladder slide was used to safely lift the patient to the road.
She was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The rescue operation closed the Pass for around three and a half hours.
