New LED streetlights for Shoalhaven

Shoalhaven City Council is expected to save $235,000 a year, by upgrading many of the region's residential streetlights.

Council with the assistance of Endeavour Energy and the NSW Government will be replacing more than half of these with energy-efficient LEDs.

Mayor Amanda Findley says the initiative will help them achieve a net-zero greenhouse gas emissions target by 2050.

The rollout will begin this month and continue through to May next year.
