Fresh from spruiking that 25% of the Albion Park Rail bypass is complete.
Kiama MP Gareth Ward has more good news for South Coast motorists.
Ward said vehicles will begin using a new part of the Berry to Bomaderry upgrade between Strongs Road and Wileys Creek before the end of the month.
"That'll be the southbound section of that road.
"What we'll do is move people onto that 1.2 kilometre section then we'll start work on ripping up the old section of the highway when people are using the new section.
"With this project over the next few months and years as we see it complete we will be doing a series of mini switches where people will be moving from the old section of the highway to the new section so that we can remove the old section and build the second set of carriage way," Ward said.
The $450 million project to expected to be completed by 2022.
