Some early morning deliveries over the past month have seen the major work on the Berry to Bomaderry Princes Highway upgrade move another step forward.
Construction on the 11 bridges for the upgrade is well on track with ‘Super T’ bridge girders delivered to two of the project’s bridge sites, at Devitts Lane and Flying Fox Creek.
Member for Kiama Gareth Ward says asphalt will soon be laid along a 1.5 kilometre section of new southbound road between Strongs Road and Wileys Creek and once complete, traffic will be moved onto this new section of road to allow for work to start on the north bound lanes.
Mr Ward says the $450 million upgrade to improve traffic flow and road safety is progressing well, with the project on budget and on schedule for completion in 2022.
