The duo were also charged with having more than $100,000 in cash believed to be the proceeds of crime.
Port Melbourne man Nguyen was charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of ice, cocaine, heroin between April and July at South Melbourne this year.
He was also charged with trafficking ecstasy and of possessing more than $43,000 in cash believed to be the proceeds of crime.
Dressed in a white jumper Nguyen held his face to his hand and looked emotional during the brief hearing.
