A number of firefighters from Mittagong 378 have received their National Emergency Medals in recognition of their efforts during the 2019/20 Black Summer bushfires.
In addition to protecting the local community, the crew contributed to a number of strike teams operating from Glenn Innes to The Snowy Mountains and in between.
All up they spent 80 days away and clocked up 1800 operational hours.
Assistance was provided at Bundanoon to protect properties along Ben Nevis Circuit and Garland Road.
