Rate increase for Wingecarribee ratepayers

wingecarribee council match 10 2022

Wingecarribee ratepayers can expect a two per cent hike in their council rates.

It comes after the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Pricing Tribunal approved applications by 86 NSW councils to increase their rates above the level of the annual rate peg.

Back in May, council's General Manager Lisa Miscamble said the increase would generate an additional $425,000 per year and ensure Council maintains its existing service levels.

In addition to this, Water and Sewer charges will increase from July by 4.4 per cent.

The increase will be used to fund future services and infrastructure.
