The Highlands District Cricket Association is planning to get the cricket season underway next month.

A number of measures will be put in place including, social distancing guidelines, the appointment of COVID Safety Officers and providing clubs with sanitizers.

Former ICC Elite Panel Umpire and Association Chairman Simon Taufel believes connection is now more important than ever in the lives of our community members and is precisely what cricket stands for.

He also says the game teaches important life skills such as team work and being able to get on with people.

We're being encouraged to contact a club and get involved.
